Hoodsport Trail state park Location Two miles west of Hoodsport, Mason County, on Lake Cushman Road. Acreage 80 wooded acres bordering a yeararound creek. Acquired Hoodsport Trail State Park was acquired from the Federal Government in March 1979. Historical Background It was a mule barn and staging area for Hoodsport Ranger District. Supplies went from there to areas in the National Forest. Remnants of the barn and some remnants of the foundation can still be seen. Dow Creek runs through the Park. Facilities 5 parking stalls, 3 picnic table sites, 1 vault toilet, and 2 miles of trails with 2 foot bridges over Dow Creek. Activities Picnicking and hiking.
