Lake Easton is located in Kittitas County on Highway I­90, 16 miles east of Snoqualmie Pass summit. It is one mile west of the town of Easton and 15 miles west of the town of Cle Elum.

Acreage

516.06 acres with 24,000 feet of freshwater shoreline on Easton Reservoir and 2,000 feet on Yakima River.

Acquired

The park was acquired in five parcels; the first in 1961 and the last in 1991, for a total cost of $1,435,809.

Historical Background

The park is located within a glacial valley in Washington Cascade Range.

The Northern Pacific Railroad built a tunnel through the Cascades beginning at Easton. A town exists at each end; the one in King County called Weston and the one in Kittitas called Easton.

There are 92 standard sites and 45 utility sites, 8 group camp sites (50 people), 4 restrooms, 40 picnic sites, playground equipment, boat launch ramp and dock, 37 miles of trail for winter public cross-country skiing on State Park land and adjacent U.S.F.S. and private lands, 2 residences, 2 pumphouses, trailer dump station, and shop.
