The Washington Coast of the Pacific Ocean in Grays Harbor County, 16 miles west of Hoquiam, 1 1/2 mile north of Ocean Shores on State Route 115.

Ocean City State Park contains 169.8 acres, plus accreted lands with 2,980 feet of saltwater shoreline on the Pacific Ocean.

Acquired

The park was acquired in 7 parcels; the first in 1960 and the last in 1994, for a total cost of $448,278.16.

Historical Background

At the time of the initial purchase in 1960, Ocean City was a thriving commercial and recreational area and Ocean Shores had not been developed. The purchase of the land provided a permanent public access to the beach.

Facilities

A contact station, 4 restrooms, 10 picnic tables, 2 log picnic shelters with 2 tables each, a Group Camp with a log shelter (accommodates a maximum of 40 people camping in tents), 29 utility camp sites (one is ADA accessible), 149 standard campsites (one is ADA accessible), 3 primitive non-vehicular campsites, one trailer dump, one winter water supply, 100 extra vehicle/day use parking stalls, 1 residence with garage, 1 mobile home residence, and a 3-bay shop.

Camping, picnicking, clamming, fishing, horseback riding, kite flying, surfing, beachcombing, bird watching, and mushroom picking.
